The Introduction to Montessori Classroom Practice (IMCP) program provides educators with practical training in Montessori principles and classroom practice. Designed for early childhood professionals, the program offers a flexible pathway to deepen professional knowledge, develop practical skills, and work toward an IMCP Certificate.

Meet Our Instructors
Johnson Chang
Chia-Hsun Chang (Johnson Chang) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, and AMS Montessori credentials at both the Early Childhood (3–6) and Elementary (6–12) levels. With extensive experience as a Montessori educator, school director, instructor, consultant, and practicum coordinator, Johnson has been serving as a Program Director and instructor at an AMS-accredited and MACTE-affiliated Montessori training center since 2015. He is also a Montessori graduate education lecturer and MACTE verifier. An active international presenter, Johnson speaks on Montessori mathematics, child development, teacher transformation, and education in the AI era.
Saraphina Yung
Saraphina Yung is a college instructor, education consultant, and teacher education program director and trainer specializing in early childhood and Montessori education. With a strong focus on foundational learning, she is passionate about making complex pedagogical ideas clear, practical, and actionable for educators. Her training sessions are designed to be engaging and interactive, helping participants connect educational theory with real classroom practice. Through her work in teacher education and professional development, Saraphina supports educators in building confidence, strengthening their practice, and creating meaningful learning experiences for young children.
Katrina Briley
Katrina Briley is a passionate Montessori educator, speaker, and mentor with extensive experience supporting children and adult learners. She holds AMS credentials at the Infant/Toddler and Early Childhood levels, along with foundational RIE training, and has taught Montessori higher education in the United States, Canada, and Asia. Her experience spans classroom teaching, administration, educator training, and professional development for educators transitioning to Montessori. Katrina is also committed to inclusive education and supports neurodivergent learners and future Montessori educators. Her passion for the Montessori Erdkinder model inspired Montessori on the Farm, connecting Montessori principles with agricultural and land-based learning.
Grace Chou
Grace Chou is an experienced Montessori educator, school leader, and trainer with over 20 years of experience in Montessori education and early childhood development. As Founder and Principal of Monarch Montessori School in Vancouver, she leads a professional Montessori program while providing teacher training and mentorship across Canada, the United States, and China. Grace has also served as a Montessori Consultant and Trainer with an AMS Training Centre, supporting practicum teachers and helping educators connect Montessori philosophy with authentic classroom practice. She has pursued advanced studies in Montessori Education at Xavier University and Leadership for Early Childhood Educators through Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her work is grounded in respect for the child and thoughtful, intentional teaching practice.
